Guitarist, Composer & Producer
Dominican born Richard Gomez is a Los Angeles based guitarist, composer, arranger and accomplished songwriter. Richard is a sought-after musician and performs regularly in concert settings, jazz clubs, restaurants and private engagements throughout Southern California, Nevada and US.


As a solo guitarist, he has been praised for his enviable technique and musicality. His guitar music is sophisticated, distinguished and suitable for all occasions. Mr. Gomez’s repertoire includes jazz standards, Brazilian, Latin, flamenco, classical and original music.
As a studio musician he has worked for Warner Brothers, Sony International Walt Disney, and internationally known singers and musicians.
As a composer and arranger he has written music for radio, television and films. Concert works include his composition “Jazz Suite for Tuba”, commissioned by Fred Greene and published by Richard Gomez Music (ASCAP)

Richard Gomez studied privately with Joe Pass, Scott Henderson and Joe Diorio. He graduated with honors from Musician’s Institute in 1984. In Los Angeles City College he was awarded with “Honors in Music Performance” and “Outstanding Scholastic Award”.
On April 14th, 2014 Richard Gomez was awarded by UNESCO for his contribution to Jazz in the international stage.
In 2022, Lux Magazine awarded Richard Gomez as Best Event Jazz Guitarist for 2022

Presently, Richard has a residency at Vino Wine & Tapas in Encino, California. He is playing at Vino’s every Friday starting at 7:00 PM.
In addition to Vino, He is performing with his Jazz Quartet in Private Engagement, Jazz Clubs and Music Festivals.
